Wildfire Safety
Wildfire is a natural part of Utah’s ecosystems, but the development within and around wildlands over the last decade or two has posed challenges for wildfire and safety officials.
In 2005, Utah identified almost 600 communities and their surrounding natural resources as “at risk” from wildland fire.
If your home is near or in wildland, including forest, brush, and grass, there are things you can do to protect your property. Not only can you take action individually, but communities can work together under a Community Fire Plan.
